Representative P. Mike Jurry Equips Radio Cape Palmas for 24-Hour Broadcasts



Maryland County District 1 Representative and Chief Executive Officer of Radio Cape Palmas 92.1FM, Hon. P. Mike Jury, has donated a range of broadcasting equipment to the station in support of its efforts to strengthen operations and expand its programming.

The presentation ceremony was held at the lawmaker's residence on Stadium Road in Harper City, where management and staff of the station gathered to receive the donated materials and express their appreciation for the support. Speaking during the handover, Representative Jury disclosed that the donation was made in response to a formal request from Station Manager Johnson H. Massaquoi, who appealed for assistance to improve the station's technical capacity and help achieve its goal of operating on a 24-hour broadcasting schedule.


The donated items included an AT camera, microphones, an AT camera microphone set, a computer, and station jackets. According to the lawmaker, the equipment is intended to enhance the station's production quality and support its growing role as a reliable source of information for residents of Maryland County. Rep. Jury praised the commitment and professionalism of the management and staff of Radio Cape Palmas 92.1FM, describing the station as an important platform for news dissemination, civic education, and community engagement. He emphasized that investing in community media contributes to a more informed and connected society.


Receiving the items on behalf of the station, Manager Johnson H. Massaquoi expressed sincere gratitude to Representative Jury, describing the donation as both timely and impactful. He noted that the lawmaker has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the growth and sustainability of the station through continued support and partnership. Mr. Massaquoi assured the donor and the public that the equipment would be put to immediate use to improve broadcast quality and advance the station's ambition of providing uninterrupted 24-hour programming for listeners across Maryland County while stating that the donation reflects Representative Jury's broader commitment to community development, reinforcing the role of local media as a vital tool for public awareness, education, and citizen participation throughout Maryland County.


With the addition of the new broadcasting materials, Radio Cape Palmas 92.1FM is expected to enhance its technical operations and deliver more consistent, professional, and high-quality programming to its audience.
